The Death of a Notion, AI

View AI video in Life Journey playlist

I have witnessed the death of broadcast television. Traditional news sources such as radio, TV, and newspapers have been replaced by the internet, streaming services, webcasts, and podcasts. Innovative technology has made watching ads less tedious, and AI allows us to access anything we want. I want to clarify that I am a responsible consumer, so I upgraded to the latest technology - new devices, intelligent controls, and all the other necessary accessories. Instead of moving forward to a utopian world, I seemed to have shuffled backward to a kaleidoscope universe. I was clicking through stacks of choices like some artificial “un-intelligence” flipping through the pages of distraction. It's as if I'm being controlled by some other intellect rather than helped by it.

The relationship between humans and machines has evolved rapidly over the past few decades. With the rise of artificial intelligence and machine learning, devices are becoming more intelligent and able to perform tasks that were once thought to be exclusively the domain of humans. However, some people worry that this rapid development of technology will lead to machines replacing humans in many areas, causing significant job losses and a loss of human autonomy. On the other hand, proponents of the technology argue that machines can help humans achieve greater efficiency and productivity and that the relationship between humans and machines can be mutually beneficial. The future of the relationship between humans and machines will depend on how we develop and use this technology.

Humans play a crucial role in AI development. They are responsible for designing the algorithms, selecting and preparing the data sets, and monitoring and improving the performance of the AI systems. Additionally, humans are responsible for ensuring that AI systems are developed ethically and responsibly. This involves ensuring that AI systems do not perpetuate biases or discriminate against individuals or groups and are used in ways that benefit society. Finally, humans also play a critical role in the ongoing development of AI systems, as they are responsible for identifying new opportunities and applications for these technologies and developing new algorithms and approaches to improve their performance and capabilities.

The role of humans and machines is likely to change significantly in the future as technology continues to advance and AI becomes more prevalent in our daily lives. Machines will become more intelligent and capable and increasingly handle tasks previously the exclusive domain of humans. The relationship between humans and machines will likely become more collaborative and dynamic as we work together to leverage the power of AI to achieve our shared goals and aspirations.

It's difficult to predict precisely what the future holds, but it's certainly possible that machines and humans could develop relationships that are similar to human relationships. As machines become more intelligent and capable, they may be able to interact with humans in more sophisticated ways, and humans may come to see them as more than just tools or devices. Machines can never replicate human qualities. Our relationship with machines depends on how we develop and use technology, balancing automation benefits with human dignity.
